WHAT DESPOTIC LEADERS CAN DO
July 22nd 2008 00:00
This post was inspired by those pictures of Mugabe’s mansion Fog showed us last week.
Please take a closer look, some of its present residents would probably be blogging with us now - had they not ended up here.
Their bodies were found here...
In the movies, they called this the Killing Fields.
Some 17,000 cambodians are said to have died in those killing fields. This guy showed us how some of the victims here were beheaded – sometimes, he said, the Khmer Rouge soldiers do not use axe or blades.
This tree became very famous. They called it the "Whipping Tree"
An infant, born of an intellectual family in Cambodia at that time, if not lucky, will end up here. A Khmer Rouge soldier will hold both its feet in his hands and smash its head into that tree as many times as needed until it stops wailing and its frail dead little body lay limp...
This happened during the Pol pot Regime. The atrocities committed here can make your blood boil in anger. They are so inhuman.
I hope these pictures could help make us better humans

It is really sickening, isn't it? But I cannot help but admire what their King Norodom Sihanouk did while all these things were happening.
Nice to have you around. Thanks!
