BEST PERFORMANCES
August 23rd 2009 22:30
You know how it works right? Best performances, best bands, best actors and actresses, best anything… if you see it everyday, or at least three times a week, for months on end (and you are in the thick of all the preparations for those performances), to you they become ordinary – so ordinary you begin to think they are even boring.
This telco promotion I am involved with right now, sort of did that to me. Add to them the stresses that I had to go through and the hassles that I had to solve while I was laying down the ground works for those performances – and you’ll have a good idea why I'd want to get away from it all - at least for a while.
That’s what I am doing right now. Doctor’s order too. My blood pressure has gone up and it doesn't want to come down and so is my Cholesterol level. I need rest he said. But, guess what? A few days of doing nothing gets boring too. And you get there faster!
When you are holding those events designed to promote products, you'd hate surprises. Surprises almost always meant troubles. But at least they break the monotony. It's like when you are traveling at top speeds on long distance trips, you don't want anything to suddenly cross your path...
But when you are just chugging along, feeling sleepy on the wheel, sometimes a little jolt (like a motorcycle falling on its side - along with the driver- right in front of your car early in the morning on one rainy day!) is all you need to get back your spirits.
Of course, you'd be fuming mad even if you are able to avoid hitting the motobike and the guy on it, but at least, you'd be fully awake! Believe me, that incident awakened me. It was a good thing my tires were new and my brakes are working!
Anyway, that adrenalin rush happened a while back. That's not what livened up my day today... It was the sight captured in the pic below! Check it out... look for any sign that the pic has been photo-shopped or fake or something.
That's my Belgian M. I knew she's intelligent. But I didn't know she was that bored as well. Come to think of it, it's been a while since the last I walked her. I better spruce up my performace as a dog owner...lest I find my Belgian M doing the laundry one of these days!

Ow, and... don't worry about the dog, I have this inkling that if I don't walk her often enough, she'll start walking me around
Nice to have you around.
